Departing from Rome, Etihad Airways currently offers reasonably priced tickets for business class flights to Down Under. You can get a round-trip flight to Brisbane starting from €2,435. The outbound and return flights are via Abu Dhabi and Sydney. Stopovers are also possible in Abu Dhabi, with prices starting from €2,574. You can travel from November to January 2024.
Entry to Australia is currently possible without any special COVID restrictions. The UAE (for a layover/stopover) has also lifted its COVID entry restrictions.
The tickets can be cancelled at any time prior to departure for a fee of €465. Alternatively, changes can be made for €265 plus any fare difference.

You will initially fly on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner (Review) to Abu Dhabi, from where you will continue on a Boeing 777 to Sydney. The onward flight to your destination will be operated by Virgin Australia (without lie-flat seats).
