Departing from Sofia, you can fly to Miami or Boston in Iberia‘s business class for only €1,180. There’s availability from August to October 2022.
Entry into the USA is permitted for fully vaccinated persons. In addition to proof of vaccination, you need a negative rapid corona test no older than 1 day before departure.
Iberia has some of the worst Covid-19 refund policies out there, as your way to a refund might require things like an actual Covid-19 infection.
To book the flights, you can simply use our form and then be forwarded to Iberia with one click. We have marked all available dates up to a maximum stay of 28 days in green.

First, you’ll fly onboard a Bulgaria Air A319 to Madrid, and from there, an Iberia Airbus A330 will fly you to your destination.
Iberia’s Business Class
The Iberia business class offers seats in a 1-2-1 configuration (no Herringbone). Each passenger, therefore, has direct access to the aisle and does not have to step over other passengers. All seats recline into a full-flat bed. The fare includes 2x 23 kg of luggage and of course, you’ll have access to various airport lounges.
The seats are apparently identical to those in the Airbus A340. We have already been able to test them on a European flight from London to Madrid:

The Fare Rules do not state how long the offer will remain valid. It is available for departures from August until October 2022. The inbound flight can also be later. You have to stay at least one Sunday, and you can theoretically stay a maximum of 12 months.
You can find available dates quickly and easily with the help of Google Flights (instructions). We recommend that you book directly on Iberia’s website.
Mileage
The tickets are issued in booking class I. You can roughly expect the following credits (based on an example to Miami):
- 17,436 Miles on American AAdvantage
- 17,436 Points on Finnair Plus
- 14,530 Avios + 92 Qpoints on Qatar Privilege Club
- 14,530 AsiaMiles + 170 Club Points on Asia Miles

Though the Bulgaria Air flights are marketed with an Iberia flight number, some programs may refuse to credit miles for those flights as they are not operated by an Oneworld member.

Information & Tips for USA
The United States offers a wide range of tourist sights, from national parks like Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon to cities such as New York, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. The currency is the U.S. dollar (USD), and card payments are widely accepted. Prices vary by region but can be high in major cities, especially for accommodation and dining. Weather differs greatly across the country—winters can be harsh in the north, while the south often stays mild; summers are generally hot and humid in many areas.
The U.S. transport infrastructure is highly car-dependent, especially outside major cities. Urban centres like New York, Chicago, and San Francisco have functional public transit, but many other cities have limited options. Between cities, domestic flights are common for long distances, while intercity buses and Amtrak trains cover some routes, though often with slower speeds and less frequency compared to other countries. Without a car, getting around can be inconvenient in many parts of the country.
