Iberia is currently offering very affordable one-way tickets between Madrid and Dakar in Senegal starting from €80. The cheapest tickets are available for departures in November and December 2023, but many more flights up to €150 are available throughout 2024 as well.
The mentioned price includes one piece of hand luggage measuring 56x40x25 cm and weighing a maximum of 10 kg, as well as a personal item. Checked baggage is not included. To include checked baggage, you should book the Optimal fare for just under 160€, which not only gives you a 23 kg baggage allowance but also allows you to select a standard seat free of charge starting 24 hours before departure.
If you have Oneworld frequent flyer status, you should be able to take a 23 kg checked bag even in the Basic fare without an additional fee.
Currently, there are no pandemic-related entry restrictions for Dakar. Most European citizens do not need a visa for stays of up to three months. Proof of a return or onward ticket and accommodation details are typically required upon entry.
Changes to your booking are possible for a fee of 120€, and any fare difference must also be paid. The cheap economy ticket does not allow for cancellations.

The flight time between Madrid and Dakar is approximately 4 hours and 40 minutes. Iberia typically operates an Airbus A321 on this route, with a 3-3 seating configuration in economy class. Unfortunately, the average legroom is only 71 centimetres. Seats in the exit row offer more space, of course.
For those looking for more comfort, this flight can also be booked in Iberia’s business class starting from €329. In this class, hand luggage of up to 14 kg and checked baggage of up to 23 kg are already included. However, since the flights are currently not operated on long-haul aircraft, the main advantage here is having an empty middle seat. Whether that’s worth the extra cost is a matter of personal preference.

Unfortunately, the fare rules do not specify how long these affordable one-way tickets will be available. For tickets under 100€, you’ll have to travel in November or December 2023. In the price range up to 150€, there are numerous non-stop flights available for the year 2024 as well. You can quickly find suitable dates using Google Flights (instructions).
