In the case of Bogotá, on the same dates as the direct flight, you can fly with connecting flights from Marseille and other French cities starting at €909, from Barcelona and other places in Spain at €1,002, from Lisbon and Porto starting at €1,025, from Geneva at €1,110, or from Copenhagen starting at €1,174. You can expect the same price difference between the nonstop and the connected flight for Quito, Panama, or Mexico City.

Flights to Bogota last around 10 hours while Mexico City will last almost 12 hours in the outbound flight and 11 hours in the inbound flight.
