IHG Hotels Asia-Pacific Sale: Up to 25% Discount on Semi-Flex Rates for Stays by December 31

InterContinental Grand Yokohama Entrance

The IHG group has rolled out a new sale for countries in Asia-Pacific for stays by December 31, 2025. The company advertises a discount of 30% on the best flexible rate. Our checks have found a discount of roughly 20% to be realistic, but with a bit of luck, you could find a bigger discount. This rate is available until August 18, 2025. It is cancellable up to 30 days before arrival, and you don’t even have to prepay.

The rate is available in the following places:

  • Australia
  • New Zealand
  • Japan
  • Korea
  • Micronesia
  • Southeast Asia
  • “the Pacific”

It’s also available in China/Hong Kong/Macao/Taiwan, however, we found the discount to be laughable, and you also don’t get the 30-day cancellation policy.

We checked the rate at a couple of hotels to see how much discount the rate really provided (compared to the normal flex rate, which usually allows cancellation up to 1-3 days before the stay):

Bottom Line

This deal is not necessarily something that makes you switch to IHG, but if you’re planning on staying at an IHG hotel in Asia-Pacific this year, you might as well take advantage of this sale. The travel period is generous, and the number of participating countries/hotels is relatively large. The 30-day cancellation period without having to prepay is also quite acceptable. It’s only a shame that the advertised 30% is quite unrealistic.
