SkyTeam member ITA Airways currently sells premium economy tickets at an astonishingly low price, with trips to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia available for as little as €380 when flying non-stop from Rome. The fare includes two checked bags up to 23kg each. Departures are available from January to December 2025.
You can add economy feeder flights from other Italian airports for approximately €40 more:
Our availability calendar highlights all possible flight dates at the lowest price for trips of up to 28 days. It will forward you to ITA Airways or Skyscanner with your selected flight dates. From there, you can check what OTAs have to offer, with prices up to €60 lower than the airline.

ITA Airways uses Airbus A321LR on flights to Jeddah, with 2-2 seating in premium economy. That’s two seats less per row than the 3-3 in economy class.
ITA’s premium economy class is offered on long-haul flights from and to Rome. An extra cabin with a maximum of 17 seats provides a nice and cosy atmosphere. 2 x 23 kg of luggage are included, and you’ll save some time at the airport by skipping the check-in line and being among the first to board the plane.
Most Europeans will need a Visa to enter Saudi Arabia. While a visa-on-arrival is possible, it is generally recommended to get a visa at least 3 days before departure online.
Search & Book
According to the fare rules, these tickets are on sale without a specified travel period. To get the lowest fare, you must stay at least three days or one night from Saturday to Sunday in Saudi Arabia, with a maximum stay of three months. Departures are available from January to December 2025
Google Flights helps you find additional flight dates. We recommend purchasing these tickets directly from ITA’s website. but you can find cheaper prices with Skyscanner. However, booking on OTAs has its downsides.
Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?
More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend booking with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:
Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airline has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.
If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward information like flight changes instead of receiving them directly from the airline. In many cases, you may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem-solving.
This especially applies to premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.
Baggage and Other Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are industry standard by now. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.
This also applies to other things like food services, insurances or priority treatment. In almost all cases, you pay less for additional amenities when booking on the airlines’ website.
