Information & Tips for Bangkok

Bangkok is known for its vibrant street life, cultural landmarks, and bustling markets. Key sights include the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and the lively Khao San Road. The local currency is the Thai baht (THB), and while credit cards are widely accepted in hotels and large stores, cash is preferred for smaller vendors. Bangkok has a tropical climate, with hot and humid weather year-round, a rainy season from May to October, and cooler, more comfortable temperatures from November to February.

For ITA flights after November 17, 2025, there are no earnings on VS.

  2. May says:

Shouldn’t the mileage be for star alliance programs?

    • Ditmar Lange says:

      Hi May,
ITA hasn’t joined the Star Alliance yet. It has exited SkyTeam, but many partnerships with SkyTeam airlines are still ongoing. The only Star Alliance program to credit ITA flights at this moment is Miles&More.
