Iberia‘s long-haul subsidiary Level is currently running a Valentine’s Day promotion. Without going into too much detail, it’s rather scammy with one notable upside: If you buy tickets for two persons, you can score roundtrips from Barcelona to Boston for as little as €212 per person. Unfortunately, these prices show up almost exclusively for November 2024 departures.
The fare only includes a cabin bag. The Comfort fare, which includes both meals and a checked bag, raises the price by roughly €55 more per segment.
Our links to Level’s booking site with prefilled routes and dates usually don’t work the first time you click on them. You’ll have to open the link a second time for it to work correctly.
Sadly, these flights are rather complicated to find. We recommend using our availability calendar to go to LEVEL. Then, you need to enter the promo code 24LVL2X1 and check if your travel dates are eligible for the discount. Almost all November travel dates are, in contrast to other months. Then, you can buy your discounted round trips to Boston. The code only works for bookings of two persons.
LEVEL uses ex-Iberia A330-200s with a 2-4-2 configuration in economy class. There is in-flight entertainment, although meal costs an extra if you purchase the cheapest package.
Search & Book
The price is the result of a promotion by the airline that is set to end on February 15, 2024. While it is supposed to be a 2-for-1 promotion, it only gets you roughly 50% off the second ticket (€335 for one person, €424 for two persons). The travel period is also heavily limited.
After going to Level’s website and entering the promo code 24LVL2X1, the preview calendar shows all days eligible for the discount with a white % in an orange circle.
Only November combines cheap flight prices and coupon eligibility. In almost any other case, you either have to pay a high base fare (diminishing the effect of the discount) or can score a low base fare without the ability to discount it. It’s not impossible to find cheap tickets for March, April or May, yet only November reliably yields cheap tickets.
Google Flights will show you when flight prices are the lowest. The €709 flight dates translate into €423 on Level’s website when using the coupon. Level’s website displays coupon eligibility, so it’s best to use a combination of both. You can’t get these prices on other websites.

You might need cash e.g. for the bus ticket if you want to buy it directly from the driver. Most of the time you even have to give exact change.

The best time to travel to Boston is from late summer to autumn. While the beginning of the summer can still be rainy and cool, the weather from August to October is most suitable for touristic purposes – temperatures are mild and precipitation is comparatively low.
From the Airport to the City Center
A free shuttle bus takes you from the terminals to the Airport Station of the MBTA Blue Line, from there you can take the Blue Line to the city centre (approx. 7-10 minutes). Tickets cost $2.50. A taxi to the city centre costs between $20 and $30, depending on the traffic and the exact destination. Uber and Lyft are slightly cheaper.
