MSC Virtuosa: 15-Night Cruise from Martinique to Northern France in April for €739 pp, incl. Tips

MSC Virtuosa

The MSC Virtuosa will sail from Martinique to Le Havre in April 2025 on a 16-day voyage, and there is currently an attractive offer for this cruise. You can book an inside cabin for €739, an outside cabin for €949, and a balcony cabin for €1,139 (prices per person). Given the small price differences, the outside and balcony cabins are certainly the most appealing options. All meals board and gratuities are included.

Info

Some countries are advising against travelling to Martinique due to ongoing demonstrations over high living costs.

The price includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as cold and hot water, coffee, tea, and milk during meals or buffet restaurant opening hours. Speciality restaurants are generally excluded and cost extra. Alcoholic beverages are available starting at €2.90 (for 0.2 litres of beer). All cabins feature double beds, which can be converted into twin beds if needed.

The Route

Your journey begins in Fort-de-France, Martinique, on April 5, 2025, at 11 PM. Over the next two days, you’ll visit Guadeloupe and St. Maarten, followed by five days at sea. Afterwards, the ship reaches the Azores, where you’ll stay from 9 AM to 6 PM. With additional sea days in between, the itinerary includes stops in Lisbon and La Coruña before concluding in Le Havre.

The Ship

The MSC Virtuosa, part of the Meraviglia-Plus class, was completed in 2020 at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard. It measures 331 meters in length and 43 meters in width, accommodating nearly 6,400 passengers and 1,700 crew members. With a gross tonnage of 181,000, the ship can reach a maximum speed of 23 knots.

The ship features a buffet restaurant with its own mini-mozzarella production, an excellent main restaurant, seven speciality restaurants (e.g., Mexican and Japanese cuisine), and 21 bars. The central area, known as the Galleria, houses speciality restaurants, shops, and bars. At the bow, the Galleria leads to the theatre entrance.

For an additional charge, the ship offers a spa and fitness centre, and cultural and leisure activities, including a bowling alley, theatre, casino, nightclub, and 4D cinema.

The upper deck boasts a beautiful aft pool, a large water park, and a climbing course. However, the long distances to the only two elevator shafts can be a drawback. The onboard languages are English and Italian. The onboard currency is the Euro.

Getting to Martinique

Flights to Fort de France are the cheapest from Paris. Non-stop flights with Air Caraibes, for instance, merely cost €294, including 12 kg of hand luggage and 23 kg of checked luggage.
