Norwegian Cruise Line currently has an excellent offer for a cruise from Bali to Fiji in April and May 2025. What makes this offer special is that the price is only for solo travellers; it becomes more expensive for two people travelling together.
Furthermore, the cruise is only bookable in two parts (the 28 nights result from the combination of two consecutive 14-night cruises. You can also travel for just 14 nights from April 9 to 23 from Bali to Brisbane, or for 14 nights from April 23 to May 7 from Brisbane to Lautoka in the Fiji Islands).
If you want to travel the entire route, prices start at €1,401 for an inside cabin. An outside cabin is available from €1,456.
The cruise price includes full board in the main and buffet restaurants, as well as coffee and tea during main meal times. Norwegian Cruise Line also offers an extensive entertainment program with shows and live music. Furthermore, you can use the onboard gym free of charge.
Until Friday, February 21, there is also a 50% discount on the More at Sea package. Book the fare with the note MORE AT SEA – half off!
Norwegian Cruise Line automatically charges a crew gratuity of US$20 (~€17) per person per day to your onboard account. You have the option to reduce this amount or have it completely removed at the reception desk if you wish.

The Ship
The Norwegian Sun was launched in 2000 at the Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven and taken over by Norwegian Cruise Line in 2001. Despite being in service for over 20 years, the ship is in good condition due to proper maintenance and regular renovations, the most recent being in 2018.
With around 2,000 passengers and a length of 258 meters, it is considered a medium-sized ship that could traverse the old Panama Canal. The maximum speed is 21 knots, although it is rarely fully utilized. Built in a German shipyard, the Sun features both American and German power outlets.
On the classically designed deck, you’ll find 2 swimming pools and 5 whirlpools, along with a seating area at the stern offering beautiful views. There are 14 restaurants available, although some require an additional fee.
The onboard language is English, and transactions are conducted in US dollars using your onboard card. At the end of the cruise, you can conveniently settle your onboard account with a credit card or, alternatively, in cash.

Getting to Bali and Back Home
As mentioned at the beginning, this offer is excellent for solo travellers, but the flights are a bit problematic. Assuming you want to take the entire trip, there are reasonable options to Bali from around €600. Flights back from the Fiji Islands to Europe are available from about €660. This cruise is particularly interesting if you are already travelling in the region or want to incorporate it as part of a larger trip. In any case, make sure to plan enough buffer time before departure. You are also welcome to use the following form to search for and book flights:
