Canada: €1,329 Oneworld Business Class Flights From Luxemburg

British Airways Club World Sitz

Oneworld member British Airways is currently selling cheap business class tickets from Luxembourg to Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa (in cooperation with American Airlines). These flights are only available during the Christmas holidays and in April 2021. Nevertheless, if you can plan ahead, that shouldn’t really be a problem. On the contrary: at least the Coronacrisis will hopefully be over by then.

Booking directly on British Airways’ website, you’ll only pay €1329

You’ll always start your trip by flying to London-Heathrow. From there, you can either fly directly to Toronto or Montreal (presumably) on British Airways’ Boeing 787-Dreamliner or fly to Philadelphia on American Airlines’ Boeing 777, from where you’ll fly to Ottawa (also with American Airlines).

Apparently this deal will expire on August 20, 2020, but that seems unlikely. You can either fly between December 18th and January 2nd, or between April 8th and April 22nd, always respecting the minimum stay requirement of 6 days.

You can use Google Flights to find the dates that suit you best, and we then strongly recommend that you book directly on British Airways’ website, just in case there happens to be another Coronavirus wave when your trip starts, or that Canada still won’t let tourists enter the country.

British Airways’ Club World Business Class

BA’s Business Class is subject to some mixed reviews. While it offers lie-flat seats in most aircraft configurations, they are deemed to be narrow by some customers. Since not all seats are facing forward, you might have to endure a long trip facing to the rear end of the cabin.

Further, that some business fares do not include free seat selection is criticized, as it may cost €60 to select the seat of your choice. A more detailed review of BA’s 777 Business Class can be read here. Their Boeing 787 features a similar layout that is reviewed here.

Information & Tips for Canada

Canada offers a wide range of attractions, from the Rocky Mountains and Banff National Park to the vibrant cities of Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal. The currency used is the Canadian dollar (CAD), and credit cards are widely accepted. Prices can vary, but Canada is generally more expensive than many other destinations, particularly in major cities. The weather varies significantly by region, with cold winters and mild summers in most areas, while the west coast enjoys milder winters. The best time to visit is usually summer or early autumn for pleasant temperatures.

Canada’s transport infrastructure is well-developed, with reliable public transit systems in major cities like Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver, including buses, subways, and light rail. However, outside of these urban areas, public transport can be limited, and a car is often necessary for getting around. Between cities, domestic flights are common, especially for long distances, but trains and buses are also available, though travel times can be lengthy. Road conditions are generally good, and driving is a popular way to explore the country.
