USA: €648 Oneworld Premium Economy From Dublin

Seattle Ferry Terminal

Oneworld partners American Airlines and British Airways are currently offering lower-than-usual prices for premium economy flights from Dublin to the USA. There’s almost daily availability until the end of May, and from September 2021 onward. Especially the fares to the West-Coast (e.g. Seattle) are very attractive.

These are some of the many possible destinations:

Nonstop to Philadelphia!

You would usually fly directly from Dublin to Philadelphia, Chicago, or Dallas with American Airlines, from where you would continue to your final destination (in economy class). On long-haul flights, you can expect wider seats with extra legroom, as well as a better service by the cabin crew. You’ll also be permitted to bring up to 2 x 23 kg of luggage on all flights.

By the way, we also have even more deals for flights from Ireland:

The fare rules are somewhat different for some destinations, but generally, your trip will have to include a Sunday. It also generally applies that you can either fly before May 31 or after September 1, 2021.

As long as you respect those two simple rules, you can basically select any dates on British Airways’ website and will end up paying roughly that price. Checking availability on Google Flights is also possible.

Mileage

The booking class seems to depend on the specific route that you decide to go for. Generally, however, you will get 180 avios for the long-haul flights (90 each), and should get 20 Avios for each US-domestic flight.

Information & Tips for USA

The United States offers a wide range of tourist sights, from national parks like Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon to cities such as New York, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. The currency is the U.S. dollar (USD), and card payments are widely accepted. Prices vary by region but can be high in major cities, especially for accommodation and dining. Weather differs greatly across the country—winters can be harsh in the north, while the south often stays mild; summers are generally hot and humid in many areas.

The U.S. transport infrastructure is highly car-dependent, especially outside major cities. Urban centres like New York, Chicago, and San Francisco have functional public transit, but many other cities have limited options. Between cities, domestic flights are common for long distances, while intercity buses and Amtrak trains cover some routes, though often with slower speeds and less frequency compared to other countries. Without a car, getting around can be inconvenient in many parts of the country.
