QR QSuite CAN DOH Sitz mit Saft

Oneworld member Qatar Airways has issued one of its rare discounted business class fares. With departure from Sofia, you can reach Singapore for as little as BGN 3,288 (~€1,681), while spending the long flights from Doha to Singapore in the airline’s famous Qsuite. You can also reach Phuket at a discounted price, though the island does not receive QSuite service.

Most itineraries require long layovers in Qatar on both the in- and out-bound leg, but since these are a Business Classic fares, lounge access is included in these tickets. Luckily, Doha’s airport features astonishing lounges.

Our Go2 tool forwards you to Qatar Airways with your selected flight dates. You can find the flights in question between March and November 2025, though the majority of July and August seem to be excluded. You can also check Skyscanner – in some cases, online travel agencies still sell discounted tickets, even if these are sold out on Qatar Airways’ website.

Flights between Sofia and Doha are operated by Qatar Airways’ Airbus A320 fleet, which feature recliner seats in a 2-2 pattern in their business class cabin. A mixture of Boeing 777-300ER and Airbus A350-1000 operates flights between Doha and Singapore. Qatar Airways advertises QSuites for all flights between the two airports. Flights to Phuket are operated by Boeing 777 aircraft without the QSuite.

Skytrax praises the QSuite as the world’s best business class. You can find our review here:

Search & Book

It is unclear, when this deal will expire. A minimum stay of four days or one night from Saturday to Sunday applies. Finding suitable flight dates is not easy, as Google Flights‘ calendar does not work properly. While dates with the lowest price are sometimes displayed correctly, the only available itineraries either have a very long layover (up to 17 hours on the inbound) in Doha or require an additional stop in Kuala Lumpur.

We recommend using the cheapest dates on Google Flights as an indicator and entering them on Qatar Airways’ website. Then use the preview calendar to look for the cheapest flights.

Qatar Airways Preview
The price preview is helpful, but also previews flights with an additional stop in Kuala Lumpur.

Advanced users can also try to find flights with the ITA Matrix (to Singapore/to Phuket). To find the cheapest tickets, we recommend adding the routing code C: QR (limits the search to flights operated by Qatar Airways) and f bc= r (limits the search to Qatar Airways’ cheapest business booking class). Also, select the calendar of lowest fares to see possible flight dates for at least one month.

You can then try these dates on Qatar Airways’ website or Skyscanner to find suiting flight dates.

As mentioned previously, searching for these tickets on websites like Skyscanner results in broader availabilities and lower prices. However, there are considerable downsides when purchasing tickets from OTAs:

Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?

More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend booking with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:

Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airline has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.

If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward information like flight changes instead of receiving them directly from the airline. In many cases, you may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem-solving.

This especially applies to premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.

Baggage and Other Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are industry standard by now. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.

This also applies to other things like food services, insurances or priority treatment. In almost all cases, you pay less for additional amenities when booking on the airlines’ website.

Information & Tips for Thailand

Thailand is famous for its vibrant cities, beautiful beaches, and rich cultural heritage. Key sights include the Grand Palace and Wat Pho in Bangkok, the ancient city of Ayutthaya, and the islands of Phuket and Koh Samui. The currency is the Thai baht (THB), and while credit cards are commonly accepted in tourist areas, cash is often preferred in local markets. The cost of living is generally low, with budget accommodations and street food available, but prices can rise in more touristy areas. The weather is tropical, with a hot, rainy season from May to October and a cooler, dry season from November to February.

Getting around Thailand is fairly easy, with a mix of modern and traditional options. In cities like Bangkok, public transport includes the Skytrain (BTS), metro (MRT), and river ferries, which are convenient but can get crowded. Taxis and motorbike taxis are also widely available. For intercity travel, buses and trains are common and affordable, though train journeys can be slow. Domestic flights are frequent and often the fastest way to travel longer distances, especially to popular islands or northern regions. However, traffic congestion in urban areas can be a challenge, particularly during rush hours.

Are you sure the BA TP are correct (pre-devaluation)? 560 seems a bit high.

Hey there, do you know if there’s a chance to get a hotel at the airport from QR? Recall there are some rules – the main one “lack of earlier connections”, which might not be fulfilled…
