Atlanta: €633 SAS Premium Economy Flights from Various Cities in Europe

SAS Airbus A330

Exciting restructuring is underway at SAS Scandinavian Airlines: In October, the airline announced its departure from the Star Alliance to join SkyTeam. A recent update on this matter: SAS will introduce daily non-stop flights from Copenhagen to Atlanta starting June 2024.

To ensure a certain basic load, there is already a great offer for this route. Premium economy tickets to Atlanta are available starting at €633. Included are more comfortable seats with a seat pitch of 97 cm, along with 2×8 kg hand luggage and 23 kg of checked luggage.

Here are some of the airports where you can take advantage of this deal:

There are more airports with this deal (for example, Malaga, Barcelona, Dublin, or Rome), but they require an overnight hotel stay either on the outbound or return trip in Copenhagen.

Our availability calendar highlights all possible flight dates at the lowest price for trips up to 28 days. It will forward you to Skyscanner with your selected flight dates.

MXPATL SAS

On feeder flights within Europe, there is a premium economy option called SAS Plus. In comparison to economy class, it includes at least some food. The long-haul flight from Copenhagen to Atlanta is operated by an Airbus A330 and lasts approximately 9-10 hours per leg. In premium economy, there is a 2-3-2 seating configuration (as opposed to 2-4-2 in economy) with 97 cm of seat pitch. In Europe, you’ll be granted access to SAS’ lounge.

Search & Book

The fare rules do not specify how long the offer is valid for, so if you’re interested, it’s best not to wait too long. Availability was found for August to November. The minimum stay is 6 days or one night from Saturday to Sunday, and there is no maximum stay.

You can find suitable dates using our calendar above or with the help of Google Flights. We recommend booking directly on SAS’s website, but you can find cheaper prices with Skyscanner. However, booking on OTAs has its downsides.

Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?

More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend booking with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:

Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airline has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.

If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward information like flight changes instead of receiving them directly from the airline. In many cases, you may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem-solving.

This especially applies to premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.

Baggage and Other Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are industry standard by now. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.

This also applies to other things like food services, insurances or priority treatment. In almost all cases, you pay less for additional amenities when booking on the airlines’ website.
