LuxuryEscapes Cancellation Policy

LuxuryEscapes offers a rather complicated cancellation policy. It basically comes in three steps:

  • Until 7 days after booking: You get a full refund in your original payment form. This is the last chance to get your money back.
  • over 22 days before your stay: You can get a full refund in form of a LuxuryEscapes credit. You won’t get your money back, but can use it to book a different hotel on LuxuryEscapes.
  • Less than 21 days before you stay: You won’t get a refund in any form if you cancel or no-show.

The Hotel

The luxurious 5-star hotel is located in the former secret service headquarters. While the building is old, the rooms are modern. The best rooms, of course, are the ones with a view of the River Thames (not available with this deal). Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery are only a few minutes away by foot.

Previous guests have left reasonably good reviews of the hotel (e.g. 4.4/5 on Google, 8.4/10 on Priceline, 9.1/10 on Trip.com, or even 4.4/5 on Tripadvisor with over 7,700 reviews), many calling it classy, fancy, sophisticated and comfy. A recurring point of criticism were the slow elevators and some felt that the temperature in the hotel was a bit cold.

The hotel is located in Westminster, the bustling government area near Buckingham Palace. You are truly in the heart of London, with many sights, such as the London Eye or the National Portrait Gallery only a short walk away.

Price Check

While LuxuryEscapes charges €229 per night, the hotel itself wants around €380 per night for the deluxe room with breakfast. That means that the price on LuxuryEscapes is around 30% cheaper. There are many dates when the savings are even higher, the price of the hotel reaching up to £461 (~€528) per night (including breakfast) – while Luxury Escapes stays fixed at €229.
