During the Black Week, the Italian State Railways Trenitalia has not only released a 30% discount voucher but is also selling a 5-day pass with unlimited travel on regional trains for only €24.50. Normally, the pass costs twice as much.
The promotion is officially valid until November 30, 2023 for travels up to 6 months in advance, i.e., until the end of May 2024. Apparently, passes at a discounted price can also be booked beyond this period. In any case, you must specify your travel dates at the time of purchase.
The pass is sold under the Italian name “ITALIA IN TOUR ADULTO 5 GIORNI” for adults. For children, “ITALIA IN TOUR RAGAZZO 5 GIORNI” can be selected.

Application Examples
You can find some examples of using the Regional train pass on the Italian promotion website. However, we have also compiled a few examples of what is possible with the pass:
Leonardo Express
Between Roma Termini and Roma Fiumicino Airport, the Leonardo Express runs on a tight schedule with a travel time of approximately 32 minutes. Regional trains take about 20 minutes longer. Normally, €14 each way would be charged for the train.
Regional Trains
During a trip to Italy, many places can be easily reached by regional trains. Whether it’s just for a day trip or for longer distances. You can filter for regional trains on the Trenitalia website. However, please note exceptions (see above) where the pass is not valid.
For €5.50 each way, you can normally get a ticket from Naples to Salerno:
Local Transport
In some cities and regions, the Regional train pass is also valid for local transport. For instance, in Naples, where the Treno Metropolitano (M or MET) operates:
