Hungarian low-cost-carrier Wizz Air has come up with a nice fare to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi-Arabia. With departure from Rome, you can buy tickets for as little as €100 roundtrip (€80 if you’re a member of Wizz Air’s Discount Club). For the same price, you can also reach Jeddah. Paying a little extra, it’s also possible to depart from Milan and Budapest.
These are a no-frills fares: Not even beverages onboard are included, just like cabin bags or food. That might be bothersome on the five-hour rides to the Arabian Peninsula.
You can find the following fares with departure from Rome:
These are the prices from Malpensa:
From Budapest, the following prices are possible:
- Jeddah at €103 (~HUF 40,289)
- Riyadh at €103 (~HUF 40,289)
Our availability calendar highlights all possible flight dates at the lowest price for trips up to 28 days. It will forward you to Wizzair with your selected flight dates.

All flights are A320-family services. You can expect a 3-3 seating pattern with little leg-room and zero extras.
Most Europeans will need a Visa to enter Saudi Arabia, and it costs around €135. While a visa-on-arrival is possible, it is generally recommended to get a visa at least 3 days before departure online.
Search & Book
We cannot tell you how long this fare is available, but we expect it to be gone rather quickly. You can find availabilities on Google Flights. The most convenient way to purchase tickets is Wizzair’s website, since you can add cabin bags, checked bags or priority boarding as you please. You can also join Wizzair Discount Club to save additional €20 on the already cheap tickets.
Availability depends on the origin and destination, but flights are generally available throughout the entirety of 2025, with singular flights dates open in 2024.
While the airline sells bundles that include checked bags, it is usually cheaper to add one manually on the second booking step. The €84 mentioned in the headline are the price tag for a 20 kg bag both ways.
Please be aware that Wizz Air’s bag policy is very strict and not exactly consumer friendly. The only thing you can bring aboard for free (besides the clothes you’re wearing) is a small bag that has to fit under the seat in front of you. Any other carry-on bag will see the price increase.
When it comes, to add-ons, Wizz Air is very confusing even for the airline’s frequent travellers. Basically, the prices are never the same, it can even differ for two persons booking a flight at the same time. However, they usually don’t price add-ons for new routes immediately.
Wizz Air Discount Club
Wizz Air has a pretty interesting membership programme. Don’t expect miles or statuses, but one could argue that it’s even better. For just €40 (2 persons) or €70 a year, you can get ~€10 discount per person per flight in addition to a discount on bags. An important addition is that the discount only applies to flights which cost more than €20. (Although they usually put a smaller discount on cheaper flights which will reduce the fare to €10.

Please note that Wizz Air usually sells tickets in the currency of the departure country. For these flights, they convert the savings to the local currency, which can happen at pretty and market rates.
To get a Wizz Air Discount Club (WDC) membership, you need to select the WDC price when you search for flights (see in the above gallery). After that, you will have to accept the terms and add WDC to your basket. The membership will be valid for one year after the date of the booking. This means that you can book fares with a WDC discount for one calendar year. Your trip can be after the expiration date as the booking date matters.
If you are booking a round-trip for two people or if you are flying Wizz Air at least 4 times alone, then it is definitely worth it to buy the Standard membership. If a family goes on a round trip, it will also pay off.

man sollte vielleicht nicht verschweigen, dass allein das Visum über 130€ kostet. Aber wer sich über Geld Gedanken machen und WizzAir fliegen muss, ist in dem Land sowieso falsch.
Hi Flo! Danke für den Hinweis. Habe Informationen über das Visum hinzugefügt.
