After presenting us with one of the best deals of the year, Turkish Airlines has now pulled the plug. Turkish was offering one million miles to anyone who’d fly to all six continents via Istanbul before October 27, 2025, with newly purchased tickets. It seems that this offer was too good and that the airline noticed that it would be granting more miles than it had expected.

Anyone who has purchased at least one ticket between June 27 and July 8 will still be eligible to earn the million miles. Others are out of luck.
For those who missed it, this was the deal we’re referring to:
Conclusion
Turkish Airlines had reserved the right to end the promotion early in its terms & conditions and has now made use of that right. And still, this leaves a bitter taste. After the success of SAS’s promotion last year, they really should have expected this promotion to be similarly received. Instead of being a good PR stunt for the airline, it will now leave many frequent flyers disappointed.

Typical TK. I am TK Elite Plus for years, switched from LH Senator. But every year there is a bit scam taste with TK. Either You can not redeem your miles, or they do some offers which are very close to normal fares etc. For me also really big downside is that there are literally never ever ANY availability when booking award with Star Alliance. Even more ridiculous is the fact, that same flight using my LH Senator miles there are plenty of seats. So this is typical TK, you should not feel bad that did n ot used this offer. The value is almost zero.
