IHG One Rewards once again is offering a nice promotion, which allows you to earn an uncapped amount of bonus points for stays between May 20 and August 31, 2025. You have to choose between earning 2,000 bonus points every second night or 8,000 points every fourth night. As our example shows, it’s almost always better to go with the second option.
The promotion runs until August 31, 2025. You must register before you can benefit.
Conditions
You can stay in any of IHG’s 6,000+ hotels worldwide. Stays between May 20 (earliest check-in date) and August 31, 2025 (latest check-out date), count towards the bonus. If a stay ends on September 1, 2025, it wouldn’t earn extra points.
The most important requirement is that you have to book a Qualifying Rate, i.e. one that will earn you points, meaning. In general, your stay has to be worth at least $30 or local equivalent to be a qualifying stay. The promotion rewards both existing and new bookings.
If you have more than three nights booked during the travel period, it is a no-brainer to go with the 8,000 points option. Any number greater than three nights makes the 8K for 4 nights more appealing.
If you stay ten nights, it would mean you won’t get a third dose of those delicious 8,000 bonus points – but already 16,000 extra points in your account. If you had registered for the first option, you would receive only 10,000 points for those ten nights. The following table shall help you make your decision easier:

These nights can both be one single stay of four nights or four separate stays of one night each. Everything in between will be rewarded, as well.
Even better, the number of points you can earn is not capped. Please also note that these are just bonus points, earned on top of your regular earnings. You can spend these points on award nights, but they will not count towards your status.

Bedeutet das dass ich, wenn ich in 2 stays jeweils 2 Nächte bleibe 8000 Punkte bekomme oder müssen es vier Nächte in einem stay sein?
Hallo Philipp! Ja, die Promotion belohnt jede mögliche Kombination. Auch vier stays mit je einer Nacht oder zwei mit je zwei Nächten bekommen 8.000 Punkte.
