Brussels Airlines: Southern Europe from/to Belgium Starting at €72 r/t (Checked Bags Add €60)

Star Alliance member Brussels Airlines has issued a bunch of interesting fares from its hub in Brussels, selling round-trip tickets to many European cities like Bilbao, Barcelona, and Madrid for less than €100.

This is an Economy Light fare, including a cabin bag of up to 8 kg. An additional checked bag raises the price by €30 per flight – no matter if you select the Economy Classic fare or add it during the booking process. In most cases, roundtrips in the other direction are available for just a few euros more.

Since this is a Lufthansa Group light fare, status benefits for checked bags do not apply.

The following Southern European destinations are available for up to €100 round-trip:

• Bilbao at €72
• Barcelona at €83
• Toulouse at €89
• Nice at €92
• Marseille at €95
• Rome at €98
• Madrid at €98
• Venice at €100

The lowest fares are available for departures from October onward. Simply use our search form to try out some dates. It will redirect you to Brussels Airlines’ website, which is also the best place to book these flights. The lowest fares start in November 2025 and are available through March 2026.

Brussels Airlines mostly uses Airbus A320 family aircraft on these routes, with the usual 3-3 seating pattern in economy class. Snacks & drinks on board are available on purchase.

Search & Book

We have not been able to locate fare rules for these flights, but they don’t seem to be restricted by a travel or sales period, nor by a minimum stay. Availability is pretty good in each direction, except during weekends and holidays.

Google Flights gives you a great overview of where cheap round-trip tickets are available. We recommend booking on Brussels Airlines’ website, as their prices edge out competition like Ryanair on most days – while including a cabin bag in the price in contrast to the Irish competition.

Miles & Points

Brussels Airlines issues these tickets in booking class K. If you need just a little extra mileage to gain or keep your Star Alliance status, this is what you can expect to earn for a roundtrip to Bilbao:
