Oneworld member Finnair offers flights from many European cities to Bangkok, starting at an astonishing €350 for a roundtrip from Paris. As attractive as these fares might seem, a checked bag up to 23 kg comes with a hefty price tag of €120 per direction (by selecting the Classic fare). This makes this fare mainly interesting for people who hold a Oneworld frequent flyer status or who are fine with travelling with the allowed 8 kg of cabin bags.
These tickets are not refundable. Finnair’s rebooking policies are quite restrictive and only allow for the rebooking fee to be waived under certain conditions. You’d still have to pay the fare difference if you opt to change dates, which can easily double the price of the flight. Their policy ends on May 31, 2022.
Currently, non-vaccinated travellers will have to quarantine for 10 days at a government-approved facility upon arrival and undergo 2 RT-PCR tests during that period. Furthermore, all passengers need to provide a negative PCR test, no older than 72 hours before departure, and take another RT-PCR test on the 5th day in Thailand. Lastly, all passengers must show that they have international insurance that covers all Covid costs with a minimum coverage of US$50,000 (~€42,591).

Information & Tips for Bangkok
Bangkok is known for its vibrant street life, cultural landmarks, and bustling markets. Key sights include the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and the lively Khao San Road. The local currency is the Thai baht (THB), and while credit cards are widely accepted in hotels and large stores, cash is preferred for smaller vendors. The city is relatively affordable, with street food and public transport offering great value. Bangkok has a tropical climate, with hot and humid weather year-round, a rainy season from May to October, and cooler, more comfortable temperatures from November to February.
