Lufthansa‘s leisure subsidiary Eurowings Discover has put a rare €500 price-tag on flights to Windhoek, capital of Namibia. Flights are available during the South African summer between in January 2024. On most connections, you have a rather lengthy layover in Frankfurt (7 hours). The cheapest fare including checked bag is available for €585 on Lufthansa’s website.

A Lufthansa or Lufthansa Regional airplane takes you from Luxembourg to Frankfurt. From Frankfurt onward, an Eurowings Discover (soon to be Discover Airlines) Airbus A330 handles long-haul duties. These planes feature the industry standard 2-4-2 seating in economy class. Personal IFE is available, but comes at an extra-cost.
