IHG One Rewards is currently offering a bunch of interesting promotions to ramp up your points total. You can earn 8,000 points for every four nights spent at IHG hotels, or regularly buy points at with 100% bonus. On top of these promotions, you also have the chance to earn triple points when you stay at five of their brands between July 1 and September 30, 2024. All you have to do is sign up for the promotion before September 30, 2025.

The promotion covers new and existing bookings. After signing up, the only prerequisite is that you book your stay directly on IHG’s website or app, with a rate costing more than US$30 (~€26) per night. You can use our Go2 tool to book stays on their website.
IHG members from Australia, Canada or the USA are not eligible for the promotion. You have to be a resident of the Middle East, Europe, Africa or Asia (w/o China) to earn the bonus points.
You can find the full terms & conditions of the promotion here.
Participating Brands
The promotion is valid for all hotels of the following brands.
- Candlewood Suites: If you have stayed at IHG brands like Staybridge Suites or Atwell Suites before, you probably know what to expect: Large rooms, often with a small kitchen or kitchenette.
- Crowne Plaza: Probably the best known brand of the current promotion, Crowne Plaza hotels are usually congress hotels, that can be pretty pricy during conventions and fairly cheap when booking off-peak. You can expect upscale middle-class hotels that serve awesome breakfast in most cases.
- Garner: Garner is a new budget brand by IHG, that are slightly above Holiday Inn Express. While the rooms can be notably larger than in Holiday Inn Express, the design is not as unified (or pretty). Many of IHG’s recently acquired German hotels have received the Garner branding.
- Voco: Voco hotels are usually middle-class hotels, comparable to IHG’s own Holiday Inn. In contrast to the more famous brand, Voco hotels usually opt for lighter colours and fancier design choices. You can find voco hotels all over the world.
- Vignette Collection: IHG’s Vignette Collection features unique luxury and boutique hotels that are mostly privately owned and operated. Our editor Felix recently stayed at one of these hotels in Vietnam and was pleasantly surprised in every aspect of his visit.
While Candlewood Suites (America) and Garner (Europe) are mostly confined to one continent, Crowne Plaza and voco are broadly available in many countries. Vignette Collection hotels are sparse in general, but enjoy a terrific reputation.

Garner Hotels in the USA are definitely below Holiday Inn Express. The rooms are smaller and the breakfast is simpler. The hotels I stayed were converted Days Inns.
