Doha, Qatar: €1,160 Air Algérie Business Class from Marseille and Paris

Doha

North African carrier Air Algérie hasn’t got the best reputation for their customer care and economy class – but their premium cabin has received rather decent reviews. If you’d like to try it, discounted business class tickets via Algiers to Doha are currently on sale from three French airports, with prices going as low as €1,160 for departures from Marseille.

Our availability calendar highlights all possible flight dates at the lowest price for trips up to 28 days. It will forward you to Skyscanner with your selected flight dates, where you can buy the cheapest tickets from various online travel agencies.

The calendar exclusively previews flight dates with short layovers in Algiers. If you are willing to stay longer (up to a couple of days) between flights, availability gets broader and even more origins like Barcelona are possible. However, most European citizens require a visa to visit Algeria.

Flights between Europe and Algiers are Boeing 737 or Airbus A330-200 services. The Boeing 737 features recliner seats in a 2-2 formation in business class, the Airbus A330s are probably the short-haul configuration with 2-2-2 seating up front.

The flights from Algiers to Doha are Airbus A330-200 services as well. These should feature Air Algerie’s long-haul business class product, lie-flat-seats in a 1-2-1 configuration. It has garnered reasonably good reviews like this. Please be aware that the airline may switch planes on both routes without prior notice.

The fare rules for these tickets offer absolutely no restrictions. You can find multiple departures weekly at the lowest fare until October 2024.

You can use Google Flights to find additional flight dates or itineraries with longer stays in Algeria. While we usually recommend purchasing premium tickets directly from the airline, Air Algerie has built up a terrible reputation regarding customer service. It may be worth it saving money by purchasing the cheapest tickets from online travel agencies via Skyscanner.

Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?

More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend booking with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:

Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airline has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.

If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward information like flight changes instead of receiving them directly from the airline. In many cases, you may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem-solving.

This especially applies to premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.

Baggage and Other Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are industry standard by now. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.

This also applies to other things like food services, insurances or priority treatment. In almost all cases, you pay less for additional amenities when booking on the airlines’ website.

Mileage

Air Algerie issues tickets for all flight segments in booking class C. We are unaware of any program that credits Air Algerie tickets despite their own Air Algerie Plus, where tickets in that booking class earn 200% of the traveled distance.
