Bangkok: €1,441 Singapore Airlines Business Class from Copenhagen

Singapore Airlines A350 Business Class Sitz Mitte

Star Alliance member Singapore Airlines has put a very decent price tag on its famed long-haul business class product – as long as you’re planning to fly from Copenhagen to Thailand. Flights between the Danish city and Bangkok are available as cheap as DKK 10,722 (~€1,438) – an unusually low price for the airlines’ outstanding business class product.

Info

You have to be fully vaccinated to enter Thailand, with the final dose having been administered at least 14 days before departure. You must also show a negative RT-PCR test, taken no more than 72 hours before departure. Furthermore, you’ll have to register for the Thailand pass at least 7 days before your trip.

At Singapore Airlines, all flights can be rebooked once without having to pay a rebooking fee (up to March 31, 2022, even several times). However, you would have to pay the possible price difference. You can read the exact conditions here on Singapore Airlines’ website.

Our availability calendar highlights all possible flight dates for trips of 14 to 28 days. Availability is fairly good throughout almost the entire year.

Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?

More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend booking with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:

Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airline has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.

If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward information like flight changes instead of receiving them directly from the airline. In many cases, you may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem-solving.

This especially applies to premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.

Baggage and Other Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are industry standard by now. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.

This also applies to other things like food services, insurances or priority treatment. In almost all cases, you pay less for additional amenities when booking on the airlines’ website.

Mileage

Singapore Airlines issues these tickets on booking class D. This is quite an attractive booking class, granting you 125% of the rather long travel distance with most Star Alliance frequent flyer programs.
