Swiss Boeing 777 Business Class Privacy Seat

Star Alliance members Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines and Swiss are selling cheap tickets for business class flights from Paris and Nice to Bangkok. Fares include two pieces of checked luggage (32 kilograms each), lounge access and seat reservation.

Our availability calendar will show you the cheapest return flights for trips of up to 28 days. Once selecting your dates, you can choose to book on Lufthansa’s website or our flight search. While comparing prices is easier with our flight search, we recommend buying premium tickets with the airline.

While tickets from Paris and Nice are the cheapest, available for roughly €1,300, you can also fly from Marseille, Lyon or Toulouse if you are willing to invest roughly €100 more.

You would need to transfer at one of the Lufthansa group hubs. Connection times vary by itinerary, so do the operating aircraft and the Business Class products. Alternatively, you can fly Turkish Airlines for around €100 more.

Premium Cabins

Generally, Travel-Dealz writers and readers are not big fans of the Lufthansa business class, even though it is definitely not bad. One reason for that is that the service is too inconsistent: From extremely friendly and quick to unfriendly and slow – everything is possible with Lufthansa, even in business class. Regarding the seats, they are mostly fine, though not really on-par with the competition anymore. That’s why the airline is now slowly installing their new Allegris seats.

With SWISS, it very much depends on the specific seat, as SWISS has a throne seat in every row. While the double seats share a platform in the middle, the throne seat has its own platform on each side, which you won’t have to share with anyone. Those seats thus offer privacy and comfort to an extent that the other seats cannot compete with. Therefore, you may be disappointed if you don’t get one of the throne seats, even if the other seats obviously also have a very high standard. In the future, SWISS will have a new business class, called “Swiss Senses”, which is basically Lufthansa’s Allegris cabin, but in red.

The Austrian business class may not be known by many, but all seats are at a consistently high standard. The Boeing 767, as well as the Boeing 777, are both equipped with the same seats, which are not only comfortable but also offer a good sleeping experience. The catering is also said to be especially good.
