German low-cost-carrier Eurowings is currently offering ultra-cheap flights from Budapest, Hungary to Florence, Italy. You can book roundtrips for only €11 (HUF 3,440), while oneway-bookings are available for €5 (HUF 1,720).
Sadly, the deal has already expired. Congratulations to everyone who was quick enough.
The deal is especially interesting for those earning miles with Lufthansa’s Miles&More programme. There you can earn 3.000 status miles and, of course, 4 flight segments with every roundtrip. In other words: You might be able to reach 2 years of Frequent Traveller status for as low as 88€ (theoretically).
Please note that these are BASIC-fares. In contrast to e.g. Ryanair or Laudamotion you are still allowed to take one personal item as well as one piece of cabin luggage (55 x 40 x 23 cm) with you. However you might have to check it in at the gate for free, if there’s no more overhead space available.
We haven’t seen Eurowings flights that cheap for years, so please don’t be upset if tickets might not be issued at all or cancelled afterwards. That’s why we recommend to refrain from booking any other related services (e.g. hotels, rental carf, …) until it’s clear that the tickets will be honored.
As Eurowings does not operate any direct flights between Budapest and Florence you will have to transfer in Germany, causing rather long flight times of at least 6 hours per direction.
Flights between Germany and Florence are operated by Luftfahrtgesellschaft Walter with Bombardier Dash-8 turboprop planes. Budapest – Stuttgart as well as Budapest – Düsseldorf are operated by Eurowings itself using Airbus A320 jets.

You can easily look for cheap travel dates using Google Flights and refer to our Google Flights tutorial if needed. We recommend booking directly with Eurowings afterwards, as they are issuing tickets directly and don’t charge any credit card fees.
Cheap flights are available for travel from March 2020 until Octover 2020. As the deal is likely to expire quickly, we encourage you to book flights for all your 2020’s travel needs quickly.
Miles
Eurowings isn’t part of any international alliance, nonetheless there are some opportunities for earning miles. Booking class Q means, you can earn miles in following quantities:
- Miles&More: 3.000 status miles (no award miles)
- United MileagePlus: 2.000 award miles + 2.000 PQM
- ANA Mileage Club: 1.400 miles
- Air Canada Aeroplan: 1.000 miles
