In the case of Leipzig to Berlin, the train takes at least three hours with transfers on regional trains, and with FlixTrain it takes one hour and a half.

FlixTrain aims to compete with Deutsche Bahn and offers good prices on its routes if you book in advance. The prices theoretically start at €4,99, but for shorter distances (like Aachen to Cologne), they can be even cheaper.
FlixTrain offers one piece of hand luggage, one suitcase, Wi-Fi, and power outlets in its wagons. FlixTrain also promises that each passenger will have their seat, which is not the case with DB, although if you want to choose your seat, you have to pay a little extra.
