The Hôtel Martinez is an iconic hotel on the French Côte d’Azur, which is also part of Hyatt‘s Unbound Collection. The cheapest rooms at this hotel start at €258. The rooms are roughly 30m2 large, and you can choose between having a king bed or twin beds. You’ll most probably get a room with a view of the city, as rooms with a sea view cost around twice as much.
The Hotel
The Hôtel Martinez is a 5-star tourist hotel and a member of the Unbound Collection by Hyatt. It’s a 14-minute walk away from the Palais des Festivals, is one of the few hotels that offers 24-hour room service in the area, and also has its own beach.
Previous guests have left very good reviews of the hotel (e.g. 4.5/5 on Google), many of them praising the extraordinary service, good food, well-maintained rooms, the beach, the breakfast next to the pool, the high-end gym equipment, the great atmosphere, and the unbeatable location.
The hotel is located on the Pointe Croisette peninsula, famous for its beach and palm trees. You’re only a 6-minute drive away from Cannes station, and there are plenty of restaurants in the direct vicinity of the hotel.
Price Check
If we compare the price to what the hotel charges during peak season, you’ll see that €258 is a very good price, as e.g. in August, the cheapest room costs around €710 per night. However, it’s a bit unfair to compare peak season with the colder months of the year – especially in a hotel that offers a beach. So let’s focus on the savings that you get by booking through ASMALLWORLD:
Breakfast costs €48 per person. An upgrade is worth around €30. Let’s take a very conservative estimate of how much the US$100 (~€93) hotel credit is actually worth to you, for the entire stay: Let’s say around €25. That means that by booking through ASMALLWORLD, you’re getting benefits worth around €150 per night – and we haven’t even put a price tag on the welcome amenity and early check-in.
Last but not least, if we compare the price to other 5-star hotels in the region, such as IHG’s Regent Carlton Cannes, which charges around €400 per night for a non-refundable rate with no extras – the Hôtel Martinez definitely sounds like a better deal.
