Right now, you can book the partial route from Cape Town to Trieste at particularly affordable prices. For this 20-night journey, you pay only €999 per person in an interior cabin. Highly recommended are the ocean-view cabins starting at €1,099 and balcony cabins starting at €1,299 (per person based on double occupancy).

Update

The price has dropped even further. A balcony cabin now only costs €1,199!

Warning

The Mein Schiff cruises are all aimed at German tourists and thus everything onboard will be in German. Of course, you will find people who speak English, but overall, expect most things to be in German.

While we usually do not post German-speaking cruises on our site, this one is so very attractive due to its all-inclusive offering, stylish balcony cabin, and interesting route, that we decided to post it anyways.

The listed prices include all meals, gratuities, and an extensive selection of over 100 branded drinks and speciality coffees, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. This concept sets TUI Cruises apart from many other cruise lines.

The Route

Your cruise begins in Cape Town, a South African metropolis popular with tourists, largely due to Table Mountain. Additionally, you can explore other attractions such as the botanical and zoological gardens. Mein Schiff 6 stays overnight in the port, giving you more time for onshore exploration. Afterwards, the ship charts a northern course and sails to Walvis Bay in Namibia, one of the country’s most important seaports, known for its rich flora and fauna.

Next, you’ll have 9 sea days on the Atlantic before Mein Schiff 6 reaches the port of Las Palmas on Gran Canaria. In the historic old town, the Santa Ana Cathedral is one of the main landmarks. The island also boasts numerous sandy beaches. The journey continues toward Gibraltar, where you can witness the Changing of the Guard at the Governor’s Palace, The Convent, several times daily. After 20 nights, the cruise ends in Trieste on the northern Adriatic coast.
