MIAT Mongolian Airlines brings us a nonstop deal from Frankfurt to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, starting at €1,628. You will have the opportunity to fly on the new Boeing that MIAT added to their fleet last year, replacing the old Boeing 767 with angled business class seats.
Citizens of most EU countries can enter Mongolia visa free for trips short than thirty days.
Our availability calendar highlights all possible flight dates at the lowest price for trips up to 28 days. It will forward you to the Skyscanner with your preselected flight dates. There you can choose to book either an OTA fare or buy your tickets directly from MIAT.
Recently, a Boeing 787 has been deployed on the Frankfurt – Ulaanbaatar route. It features a 1-2-1 reverse herringbone seat configuration with lie-flat seats (a total of 30). You can also find further information on this at OMAAT. The flight time is approximately 9 to 9.5 hours each way.
Search & Book
The fare rules don’t specify either an expiration date, a minimum stay or a maximum stay. Departures are available from March to December.
You can use our availability calendar above to see available dates. It will redirect you to Skyscanner. There you can choose between online travel agencies or the airline’s website which is approximately €120 more expensive. Google Flights (instructions) shows higher prices.
Mileage
You can earn miles in MIAT’s Blue Sky Mongolia program. ITA Matrix shows that the ticket will be issued in booking class A, although MIAT’s earning chart lists it as an economy booking class. Either way, mileage may not be the best motivator for booking this trip.
Destination
Hotel prices depend on the destination, with the cheapest ones being in Mongolia. Whichever destination you opt for, make sure to get the best price! Our recommendation is to search on booking.com, or even on our own Travel-Dealz hotel search:
