Oneworld Business Class: Open-Jaw Flights Ireland – USA – Spain for €1,108 (Many West Coast Destinations Included)

If you want to book affordable business class tickets, you often have to get a bit creative these days. After presenting you with Oneworld flights from Ireland to the USA starting at €1,351 on Thursday, this deal is even cheaper.

Choosing a return flight to Spain instead of Ireland helps reduce the prices by an additional €150 to €180. For instance, you can fly to California, the Grand Canyon in Arizona, or Fort Lauderdale in Florida for under €1,200. Moreover, British Airways, American Airlines, and others offer access to various other destinations across the United States.

Booking through ITA Powertools (and redirecting to American Airlines) can get you tickets starting from €1,108, which may not be visible through other channels. More on this later.

Feel free to use the form below for booking. You can proceed to book on British Airways’ website or on American Airlines’ (redirected from Skyscanner). When searching, keep two things in mind: the travel period is limited to March and April 2024, and outbound flights are only allowed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with return flights from Monday to Wednesday.

Here are some examples of cheap itineraries, available on British Airways’ website:

In addition to the listed destinations, many others are possible, nearly all those included in the €1,350 deal from Dublin. Double open-jaw flights, i.e., Ireland – A | B – Spain, are also feasible.

Various destinations can be reached with just one layover in Philadelphia or Dallas. You will initially fly in AA Business Class from Dublin to the USA and then continue in Domestic First Class.

However, this may not be the best option, especially for California and Washington. The onboard product is significantly better on long-haul flights than on American domestic flights. Hence, options with two layovers, e.g., in London and Los Angeles, are often more attractive. Moreover, some destinations are only reachable with two layovers.

The British Airways Club Suite is likely the best onboard product, now available on most London-to-US routes.

British Airways was the first airline to offer lie-flat seats – over 20 years ago. Sadly, many seats are still from that time and no longer reach today’s standards in other aspects. Especially in the Boeing 747, the seats were extremely narrow. Furthermore, it is unusual that every other seat is facing backward. If you, however, fly in a plane that has the new Club World seats installed, you’ll be flying in a much better product, sometimes even with Suite seats that offer a lot of privacy. A general downside at British Airways: there is no free seat reservation, which is unusual for a business class.

Even if American Airlines doesn’t enjoy a good reputation for many, its business class is very good. Every seat has direct access to the aisle and the service, as well as the food and the seat, are at a very high standard. Travel-Dealz founder Johannes tested the Boeing 777 and really enjoyed the flight.

Search & Book

The fare rules do not specify how long these offers will last. Availability has been found for March and April 2024. The minimum stay requirement is one night from Saturday to Sunday, and you are allowed to spend up to 12 months at the destination according to the fare rules. Currently, return flights can only be booked until August 2024.

There are two ways to search for available travel dates. The easiest way is to use Google Flights‘ multi-stop search (instructions). Unfortunately, the flexible price calendar is not available for open-jaw flights, but you can quickly click through the dates to find a good deal. A bit more effort, but offering potential savings of up to €70, is the search using the ITA Matrix Powertools:

Even Cheaper with ITA Powertools

If you search for flights on the ITA Matrix, you will come across prices starting at €1,108. Unfortunately, booking directly through the Matrix is usually not possible. Therefore, you need to install a small browser extension beforehand. Read how it works here:

Afterwards, a new button will appear on the right sidebar. You can use it to book the flights directly on AA.com:
