Bangkok: €380 Royal Jordanian Open Jaw Flights from Rome to Brussels (Incl. Checked Luggage)

bangkok, thailand, wat arun

Oneworld member Royal Jordanian Airlines brings us this open-jaw deal in May from Rome to Bangkok, returning to Brussels starting at €380. The deal includes checked luggage.

Unfortunately, we cannot show you a calendar of dates because this is a multi-city deal. However, we provide a test search for you to try out your dates and find with our flight search tool. To find the best price, we have discovered that the outbound flight should be on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays from Rome, and the inbound flight to Brussels should be on Sundays until June 2nd, but we recommend trying more combinations.

The feeder flights will be operated with Royal Jordanian Airbus A320 with a 3-3 configuration, and the long-haul flights will be operated with Royal Jordanian Boeing 787 with a 3-3-3 configuration.

Search & Book

This deal doesn’t have an expiration date, but it has a minimum stay of three days and a maximum stay of three months. Available dates are in May.

You can find suitable dates using our calendar above or with the help of Google Flights. We recommend booking directly on Royal Jordanian’s website, but you can find cheaper prices with Skyscanner. However, booking on OTAs has its downsides.

Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?

More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend booking with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:

Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airline has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.

If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward information like flight changes instead of receiving them directly from the airline. In many cases, you may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem-solving.

This especially applies to premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.

Baggage and Other Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are industry standard by now. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.

This also applies to other things like food services, insurances or priority treatment. In almost all cases, you pay less for additional amenities when booking on the airlines’ website.

Mileage

This ticket is issued in booking class O for the outbound flight and booking class W for the inbound flight. Here are the miles and points you can earn from this deal:

  • 6,032 Award Miles + 9,046 Tier Miles on Royal Jordanian Royal Club
  • 3,016 Avios + 65 Tier Points on British Airways Executive Club
  • 3,016 Avios + 33 Qpoints on Qatar Privilege Club
  • 3,016 Avios + 235 Elite Points on Iberia Plus
  • 3,016 Miles on Alaska Mileage Plan
  • 3,016 Miles on Royal Air Maroc Safar Flyer
  • 3,016 Points on Finnair Plus
  • 3,016 Miles on Japan Airlines Mileage Bank

Best Time to Visit

While hot summer temperatures prevail the whole year long in tropical Thailand, the best travel time is definitely the winter from November to February. The rainy season also starts in June and will last until October – high humidity is what you’ll have to prepare for!
