Sichuan Airlines is the next Chinese airline which asks for our attention by offering attractive prices between Europe and Australia. They offer one-way tickets from Rome to Sydney and Melbourne and vice versa starting at €313, paving the way to a budget round-the-world trip.
While you would have to stay 20 hours on all routes in Chengdu, the possibility of visiting the home of the pandas may be a bigger plus than minus. In addition, you can carry two checked bags weighing 23 kilos.
