SkyTeam member airlines KLM and Air France are offering great fares from various Italian airports to Brazil. Departure airports include Rome, Venice, Milan, Naples, Florence and more. Destinations include Sao Paulo, Belém, Fortaleza and Salvador.
Like all our current dealz, this deal is available for flights in late 2020, where the Corona crisis should already be over.

European flights are either operated in KLM’s Embraer airplanes or Air France’s A319’s. The long-haul flights are either operated in KLM’s A330-200 or in Air France’s or KLM’s Boeing 777. The connecting flight in Brazil is operated by GOL in their business class. Please keep in mind that GOL is a low cost carrier. Therefore the standard may be significantly lower than expected.

KLM Business Class
KLM has its business class rows in a 2-2-2 formation, meaning that window seats do not have direct access to the aisle. All seats can, however, be turned into a fully flat bed of at least 200 cm. You will enjoy premium class catering and a more generous baggage allowance (12kg hand luggage and 2x23kg bags that you can check in), as well as airport benefits, such as lounge access.
Search & Book
Fare rules state a minimum stay requirement of 6 days or a night from Saturday to Sunday. The maximum stay length must not exceed 3 months. No stopovers are permitted. We found availabilites until the end of November. The deal expires on April 14, 2020.
You can find suitable dates via Google Flights (instructions). You can then book directly via KLM or Air France.
Mileage
Tickets are issued in booking class J (short-haul) and O (long-haul). Most SkyTeam frequent flyer programs will not credit flights in booking class O except Delta SkyMiles. We would recommend collecting the miles from these flights through that program. Here is the mileage accrual from Florence to Sao Paulo:

Information & Tips for Brazil
Brazil is famous for attractions like the Amazon rainforest, the vibrant cities of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, and natural landmarks like Iguazu Falls and Pantanal. The currency is the Brazilian real (BRL), and credit cards are commonly accepted in most places. The price level can vary—major cities and tourist spots can be expensive, but other areas offer more affordable options. Brazil’s weather is tropical, with hot, humid summers, especially in coastal regions, while southern areas experience milder winters. The best time to visit is generally during the dry season, from May to October.
Brazil’s transport infrastructure varies across the country. In major cities like Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, public transport includes buses, metros, and taxis, though traffic congestion can make getting around slow at times. Ride-hailing apps are widely used and convenient. For intercity travel, long-distance buses are a common, affordable option, but they can be slow. Domestic flights are popular for longer distances, offering quick access to destinations like the Amazon or coastal areas. However, outside major cities, transportation options may be less frequent or reliable, requiring more planning.
