Star Alliance member Lufthansa currently offers attractive business class tickets from Birmingham, Edinburg, Glasgow, and Manchester, selling roundtrips to Seoul for as low as £1,004 (~€1,155). These flights include a layover in Munich or Frankfurt. There’s almost daily availability until December.
Worldwide travel restrictions are in place to slow the spread of Covid-19. We strongly recommend gathering detailed information about the travel and quarantine restrictions that apply to your desired origin and destination.
A good start is the International Air Transport Association (IATA) website. It provides current updates on a country’s immigration policies. Even better, the Covid-19 Travel Regulations Map is one of the most useful tools you can find.
- Birmingham: £1,004 (~€1,155)
- Manchester: £1,010 (~€1,162)
- Glasgow: £1,013 (~€1,165)
- Edinburgh: £1,068 (~€1,229)

Flights from London are sadly not available at a discounted price. All possible connections feature a short-haul flight in Lufthansa’s European Business Class, which is basically their economy hard product with a blocked middle seat and better catering. Flights from Munich to Seoul are operated using an Airbus A350, featuring a 2-2-2 seating configuration in business class. A comprehensive review of Lufthansa’s business class can be found here:
By the way, this isn’t our only business class deal for trips departing from Great Britain:
Search & Book
The fare rules state that this deal will expire on February 28, 2021. They also state that your departure date cannot exceed December 12, 2021, and that you need to stay at least six days or a single night from Saturday to Sunday. Your trip may not be longer than three months.
You can search for available dates using Google Flights, but should then definitely book directly on Lufthansa’s website. The easiest way to do that is by using our search form above, which will redirect you to Lufthansa’s booking site for whichever dates you select.
Mileage
Lufthansa issues tickets for all flight segments in booking class P. Sadly, this is a discounted booking class, that some Star Alliance frequent flyer programs will not acknowledge, while others grant you up to 100% of travel distance. You can expect the following number of miles for a Birmingham to Seoul roundtrip via Munich:
- 14,850 Miles on Singapore KrisFlyer
- 14,850 Miles on ITA Volare
