The discount only applies to the airfare, not to taxes & surcharges. Since the airfare only makes up a small amount of economy class tickets, it makes more sense to apply it to business class fares.

Particularly interesting redemption options can be found with departure from Sofia, Bulgaria. From there, Turkish Airlines offers a decent amount of sub-€2,000 business class fares during the travel period, when using the discount.

Editor’s Note: These are two pretty decent promotional codes. Despite the exclusions, Turkish Airlines’ vast network offers plenty of interesting redemption options. The major downside is travel period, limiting it to short-term travel.
