This trend hasn’t only transcended space by reaching nearly all other parts of the world. Even time is no longer a barrier, as discounts usually start on the Monday before and end on the Monday after America’s favorite family feast. And thus it became the Black Week, in all its discounted glory.

Since many hotel chains have already started their black week sales, we have compiled the the most remarkable offers in this post. In addition to the essential information and promotional links, we give you our honest opinion about the offers. We also compiled a list of flight deals here.

Leonardo Hotels: 30% Off All Room Rates

Leonardo Hotels give member of their loyalty program (joining is free) a 30% discounted on all room rates in all hotels. The travel period is not limited. You have until Tuesday you make your choice. You can search for yourself or select one of our examples.

Bottom line: This is a great deal. Leonardo Hotels are usually not very expensive anyway, so cutting the price by another 30% is fantastic. Especially, if you consider that it comes with no restrictions. Any hotel, any date, any rate: it’s up to you.

Accor Hotels: Gift Cards with 20% Added Value

Accor currently sells gift cards with 20% added value. The gift cards can be redeemed in select Accor hotels in seven European countries within the next five years. The vouchers reduce both room rates and other onsite spendings. You can get more details in our dedicated deal.

In addition, ALL members can earn triple bonus points when booking before Monday.

Bottom line: While the gift vouchers cannot be redeemed in all hotels, many of Accor’s more expensive brands like Pullman and Sofitel can be found among the possible redemptions. A decent offer from France.

Hyatt: Free Breakfast + Small Discount

Hyatt’s Black Week offer stands out by throwing free breakfast into the mix. The travel period covers dates until and including April 2024 for bookings made before December 5. Even better, the promotional rate is refundable up to three days before arrival and usually gives a decent 5-10% discount when compared to other flex rates. You can read about our research here.

Bottom line: Since the promotional rate is refundable and even includes breakfast, this is one of the better black week bargains. The (slightly longer than usual) travel period until April 30, 2024, is a nice touch.

NH Hotels promises a juicy 40% discount on its landing page and falls well short of that announcement. While you can make decent savings on some properties in Spain, you’d have to waive all flexibility, as the promotional rate is prepaid and non-refundable. The offer is valid until November 28 for stays before April 1, 2024.

Bottom line: This is basically your blueprint for a black week promotion: Give a discount on the flex rate, make it non-refundable, and open it to bookings for winter/early spring. Be sure to check it out if travelling to Spain during that period.

Marriott: up to 20% Discount

Mariott promises a 20% discount on the flexible rate, which in turn becomes prepaid and non-refundable. The offer is exclusively available for Marriott Bonvoy members and only applies to stays before January 15, 2024.

Bottom line: When comparing the offer to other non-flex rates, the discount is sometimes as low as 5%. Throw in the ridiculously short travel period, and you end up with one of this Black Week’s most pathetic offers.

Barcelo Hotels: 15% Discount On European Hotels

Barcelo Hotels & Resorts issued a 15% discount code for its European hotels. Until November 27, 2023, you can get the discount without minimum spending or significant limitations on the travel period.

Bottom line: In addition to their code, Barcelo offer a bunch of confusing discounts while rubbing numbers in your face on their website. By sticking to the discount code, you at least see immediate results.

If you are looking for a discounted luxury stay, do not look any further. You can easily save several €100 when logging in and booking with your membership account. The offer expires on November 27.

Bottom line: While the discounts are high, prices still aren’t cheap. A great risk, since the special rates demand prepayment and aren’t refundable.

For bookings made before November 27, B&B Hotels offers a coupon code that reduces FLEX rates by 10%. It is valid on stays in Austria, Germany, and the Czech Republic before December 31, 2024.

Bottom line: The rates remain flexible, the travel period is gratuitous, and the discount is 10% as promised. Not much to complain about here, despite the limited destinations.

Until November 28, IHG offers a 20% discount on the best flexible rate in almost all chains. In return, the rate becomes prepaid and non-refundable. Valid for stays until March 31, 2024. Also, the points rate has been decreased when doing a cash + points booking.

Bottom line: An solid, but unimpressive offers by IHG. The conditions are okay, the discount often reaches the promised 20%, but the travel period short. On the other hand, last year’s Cyber Monday offer (10,000 points every 2 nights) was absolutely great, so the best might be yet to come.

Until November 29, Scandic Hotels offers a 3-for-2 deal for many of its European properties. Many hotels in Scandinavian countries give the promised 33% discount of stays of at least three nights, some German properties only give 20%. While it sometimes even includes breakfast, the promotional rate is not refundable and needs to be paid in advance.

Bottom line: This offer comes with a good discount. The travel period is a bit short, but since rooms cannot be cancelled, it fits the promotion. The bigger problem is that the most attractive discounts are in Scandinavian properties, which are rather cold and dark during most of the travel period, so not many tourists can benefit. Radisson gives non-members a 10% discount on weekend stays, while Radisson Rewards members can earn up to 30% discount and 2,500 bonus points when selecting the non-refundable Cyber Sale rate. The promotion covers stays in 2023 and 2024.

Bottom line: After two rough years with meddling offers, Radisson gives out decent discounts during this year’s black week. The long travel period somehow pales when looking at the fact that this non-refundable, as prepaying rooms a year in advance is not everybody’s cup of tea.

Limehome is an alternative to AirBnB when it comes to apartment rentals in bigger and smaller cities. In contrast to their global competitor, you can find Limehome apartments primarily in German cities and its neighboring countries.

Bottom line: Limehome regularly offers codes taking 11% off rental rates, so the 15% is a decent increase compared their usual promotions.

Bottom line: While it might be nice to get a free drink at the hotel bar, the most obvious use for food vouchers is usually breakfast. Except here, since the breakfast is already included. While the idea is unique, this promotion is actually just putting a hat on a hat.
