Until late March, you can stay at the 5-star Crowne Plaza Athens – City Centre for prices starting at only €135. This rate is available directly on IHG‘s website, meaning that you can also benefit from IHG’s current promotion.
You can either select a room with a queen bed or a room with 2 single beds. Both rooms would be 20 m2 big, non-smoking and sleep two people.
In February and March, you can expect mostly sunny weather, with temperatures between 7 and 13 °C on most days.
The Crowne Plaza Athens – City Centre is an upscale 5-star hotel, known for its epic pool and family friendliness. It is also one of the few hotels in the area to offer 24-hour room service. The rooms are well-equipped, offering e.g. a coffee maker. You’re also only a 15-minute walk away from the Byzantine and Christian Museum and less than 10 minutes away from Megaro Moussikis metro station.
Previous guests have left good reviews (4.4/5 on Google), many of them praising the lovely rooms and the first-class service.
Located in the Central Athens Regional Unit, you won’t have any trouble finding a good restaurant in the hotel’s direct surroundings. Getting to the hotel from the airport is also very easy, as the M3 metro line only takes about half an hour to get there.
While you can get the price of €135 per night until late March, the hotel charges far more later in the year. Already in April, the price rises to roughly €175.
But even if we compare the Crowne Plaza’s price to what other 5-star hotels in central Athens are charging in March, the price really does hold up, as e.g. the King George is charging €295, the Grand Bretagne wants €325, and the AthensWas Design costs €290.

I have stayed there two years ago and would not recommend it. The rooms are smelly and outdated.
