H-Rewards is the loyalty program of Deutsche Hospitality, encompassing Steigenberger, InterCity, Zleep Hotels, and more. They are offering a Secret Weekend Deal for selected hotels worldwide, promising up to 45% discount on the Flex-Rate including breakfast.
The offer isn’t really a secret, and the claimed 45% discount is greatly exaggerated based on our sample checks. Nevertheless, you can still get excellent prices for different hotels if you value included breakfast and flexibility for cancellation. For instance, the cheapest hotel (at Madrid Airport) costs only €56.
In parallel, there is an ongoing promotion where you can get a 20% discount on gift vouchers. However, it’s stated that this offer cannot be combined with other discount promotions. This likely refers to other discounts on coupons, but we cannot guarantee its applicability.

With a comprehensive offer like this, providing a universal price comparison is challenging. Therefore, we’ve chosen a night from August 20 to 21 at Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin Stuttgart. This costs €155 with the Secret Weekend Deal including the member’s discount:
The regular non-flex rate without breakfast directly from Steigenberger starts at €157, and in Trivago’s price comparison, it begins at €148. However, if you activate filters for free cancellation and breakfast, you won’t find anything below €197:
Both the Secret Deal and the rate through Trivago can be cancelled up to 3 days before arrival. Thus, this results in a savings of a notable 21%. It’s far from the promised 45%, but still a good deal.
