Eurowings: Free Empty Middle Seats until April

Eurowings

Since August 2020, Eurowings has allowed middle seats to be added when booking a flight for a fee, charging at least €20 in each direction. According to the airline, empty middle seats have been sold more than 100,000 times so far, the most popular connection being Düsseldorf – Mallorca.

Anyone who books a flight with the airline between now and April 7 and flies during the same period can add the empty middle seat free of charge. The promotion applies to domestic German flights as well as flights between Germany and Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Denmark, the Czech Republic, and Ireland, as well as between the Czech Republic and Great Britain.

Apart from the relatively short travel period, there are fortunately hardly any restrictions. The middle seat can be booked via the Eurowings app or Eurowings.com

Adding the middle seat is relatively easy. Immediately after selecting the flights, you will come to the “Seats” section, where you can then add the empty middle seat free of charge:

Note that the middle seat is only offered subject to availability. With increasing occupancy, it is likely to become more and more difficult to find empty middle seats. However, availability seems to be good at the moment. By the way, the offer apparently only applies to new bookings.
