The Four Seasons Sydney is a hotel in a perfect location. Overlooking the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, it provides a 5-star experience. While the hotel also has its own 4-for-3 promotion, ASMALLWORLD – in addition to also having a 4-for-3 deal – offers free breakfast, US$100 (~A$153) food&beverage credit, upgrade, early check-in and late check-out (latter three are subject to availability) for the same price. Your nightly cost starts at €189 (~A$311) assuming you’ll stay four nights.
To make the deal even better, the Shangri-La next door (2 blocks away) also has a similar promotion, but with slightly different availabilities. You can book this deal until November 30, 2023 for stays until December 15, 2023. You can find the cheapest prices in September.
The cheapest room is the Deluxe City View Room with a king bed or two twins. The room measures 26-27 square meters or 280-290 square feet (depending on the exact room). Spread across floors 9 to 33, you would overlook the city’s skyline over George Street or Harrington Street. The room has plenty of amenities, from a safe, through BOSE portable speakers, a huge (107cm/42inch) TV to a marble bathroom with a bath.
If there’s availability, you could get upgraded to a room with a partial or full harbour view or a Premier Room which is double the size of Deluxe. Your upgrade will be confirmed upon check-in.
The Hotel
The Four Seasons Sydney is a stylish contemporary hotel in Sydney’s The Rocks neighbourhood. The hotel has its own Endota Spa, an outdoor pool and a selection of restaurants and bars. The most interesting is the Lounge 32, featuring the best views of the city. It is a great place to spend your US$100 (~A$153) F&B credit. Of course, they have a fitness centre and several meeting facilities.
Guest left good reviews (4.5 on Google), praising the location, service (a quarter of reviews mentioned it with 90% of those leaving good reviews), the property itself and the amenities. A few guests however left negative reviews regarding the air conditioning.
The hotel’s location can’t be much better: the Central Business District (CBD) is just slightly South of the hotel, while the Opera House is just a couple of walking minutes North. The Harbour Bridge’s Southern end is right next to the property. Getting to the airport is easy, as the International Terminal is 25 minutes train or 40 minutes drive away.
Price Check
While the Four Seasons also offers a 4-for-3 sale, their price doesn’t include breakfast. Their price would increase to €260 (~A$427) per night with breakfast. Therefore, booking with ASMALLWORLD is a pretty straightforward choice.
While there are a couple of 5-star hotels in the area at approximately €200, not all of them include breakfast. A comparable deal is InterContinetal’s Stay Longer deal (starting at A$339 (~€206) per night). The Shangri-La deal has a complete list of hotels in the area with prices. The Shangri-La Sydney offers similar prices in months where the Four Season is €300-€400.
