The Hotel
The location of the hotel is outstanding. Situated right at the Singapore River and at Marina Bay, this is undoubtedly the best spot in the city. The building used to be the General Post Office Building in Singapore and has Neo-classical architectural features. Because of this rather unique history, the building has been declared as a national monument.
The location of the hotel makes this a perfect spot to experience the city by feet. Many of the best restaurants and museums are very close. If you don’t feel like walking there is an underground station called Raffles Place only a few minutes walk away. It’s part of Singapore’s underground infrastructure called Mass Rapid Transit.
The hotel itself is very luxurious. There is a reason why this hotel has been named Singapore’s Leading Hotel several times. This is most probably due to their outstanding service that the hotel is very well-known for. Of course the architecture plays a role here too. Connecting Neo-classical architecture with modern amenities.
After an exhausting day in the city you can relax by the infinity pool with a great view on the city and the river, have a drink at the rooftop bar or book a treatment in the hotels own spa.
Even the rooms in the cheapest category convince with a very sophisticated interior. You can see that furniture and materials are very classy and elegant and of highest quality. All bathrooms feature a shower and a seperate bath tub. Every room has a coffee machine and a kettle to boil tea. A very nice and rather unique feature: During your visit you can use a smartphone owned by the hotel with which you can use internet throughout the whole city and do free local calls.
Because of the guaranteed upgrade through Virtuoso in cooperation with Cube Travel you will be in a Postmaster Room at least. From this 40 m² room you will have a great view onto the city. For a small extra fee you can also reserve rooms in the Quay category with a view onto the singapore River or a Premium Quay Room with a panoramic view onto Marina Bay.
