Since last year, there has been a partnership between the Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG) and Iberostar Resorts. Members of IHG One Rewards benefit from status perks in selected all-inclusive resorts and can also earn and redeem points there.
To promote this partnership, there is now an enticing offer. A generous 40,000 IHG reward points (valued at approximately €200) are up for grabs for a 4-night stay at Iberostar Resorts. And for those staying 8 nights, you’ll receive a whopping 80,000 points.

It should be noted that the collaboration between IHG and Iberostar includes only selected hotels worldwide. A list of participating hotels can be found here. Some particularly budget-friendly resorts in Tunisia are excluded. Nevertheless, the offer can be very attractive, as 4 nights in Europe start at just €344.
The terms repeatedly mention “participating Iberostar Beachfront Resorts.” We assume that any Iberostar Resort bookable through IHG automatically participates. However, a precise definition is unfortunately lacking.

- 4 nights at Iberostar Cristina, Mallorca (Spain), starting at €404 including breakfast
- 4 nights at Iberostar Ciudad Blanca, Mallorca (Spain), starting at €404 including breakfast
- 4 nights at Iberostar Bougainville Playa, Tenerife (Spain), starting at €572 including breakfast

Calculation example
The bonus points are in addition to the regular points credit. If you were to stay in Montenegro for €344, you would receive a total of 43,740 points (valued at around €220):
- Base points: 374 USD * 10 points/USD = 3,740 points
- Bonus points: 40,000 points
- Total: 43,740 points
As a status customer, up to 47,480 points could be possible.
Conditions
- Registration period: from now until May 20, 2024
- Travel period: February 20 to May 20, 2024
- The offer can only be claimed twice per account (i.e., a maximum of 80,000 bonus points for a total of 8 nights)
- Valid only for bookings made after registration
- Applicable only to stays that:
- Cost a minimum of 30 USD per night (or the local equivalent). However, none of the hotels are likely to be cheaper.
- Are eligible for earning reward points (no award nights or Points & Cash)
- Are booked directly on ihg.com or directly at the hotel
- The 4 nights apparently do not need to be consecutive; points are awarded for every 4th night.
