SkyTeam member ITA Airways currently gives a 10% discount when purchasing gift cards on their website. They come in the form of voucher codes that have to be used up to 12 months after the initial purchase. You can get the discount by adding the promo codeGIFT10 at the last step of your purchase.
The code is valid until April 1, 2024.
As of April 2024, we cannot recommend purchasing ITA gift cards. We have tried it ourselves and are unable to redeem the gift card for any flight. In recent weeks, the input field for gift cards is no longer showing up when booking a flight.
How to Purchase & Use Gift Cards
The most attractive way to use these cards is purchasing flight tickets. These are two separate steps:
- Purchase one or more gift cards with 15% discount using the code
GIFT10. - Receive the gift cards via E-Mail.
- Use the gift card during your next flight booking.
While booking flights is the most obvious choice, you can also use the gift cards to purchase other services or merchandise on ITA’s website.
Be aware that the purchase of ITA Airways gift cards comes with some notable downsides:
- The validity of these gift cards is quite short (only one year). If you don’t find a use for these gift cards until April 1, 2025, they will be entirely lost.
- The flights you eye may always get more expensive. Or other airline may offer cheaper tickets.
- If your flight gets cancelled, you will most likely be reimbursed with another gift card, not cash.
- While ITA Airways is officially part of SkyTeam alliance, you can’t earn any miles for some frequent flyer programs like Delta SkyMiles.
According to the terms & conditions of this deal, there is no minimum purchase or maximum savings. The cheapest gift card available comes at €50 value and can be purchased for €45 when using the code.
While the highest gift card is €500, you can simply buy two of them at the same time to get €1,000 value. The discount applies to both gift cards.
You can apply the code in the very last step of the buying process, even after hitting the Complete the Purchase button, which just seems to be poorly translated. You will need to set up an account on the airlines website before you are able to purchase gift cards or enter the code.
Since there are very little restrictions when it comes to redeeming the cards (only tickets for children 12 years or younger are excluded) you could very well strike a bargain with them in the future. Redeem Your Gift Card
You will receive your gift card in the form of a voucher code via E-Mail. To use it, you need to get to the payment page of a flight booking. Right above the payment option, you can enter the gift card code.
If the value of your tickets is higher than the gift card, you can pay the difference with other payment methods. If the tickets cost less than the gift card, you can use your code again over the remaining value.

Site seems to not be working. Getting “NotAvailableProducts” error when trying to buy…
I think the information about not earning miles with other FF program is not accurate anymore. I received recently a mail from Flying Blue in which they marked that earnings on AZ flights is now possible
