São Paulo: Air France-KLM Flights Starting at €389 From Italy (€489 with Luggage)

Sao Paulo, Brasilien

SkyTeam partners Air France & KLM are selling quite cheap tickets to São Paulo. Prices start at only €389 for flights to Lima. Luggage, however, is not included and would cost another €100 for everyone who is not a SkyTeam Elite status holder.

Info

There currently aren’t any restrictions for vaccinated tourists wanting to enter Brazil. If you aren’t fully vaccinated, however, you’ll have to show a negative test result, no older than 24 hours before departure. The test result has to be in English, Portuguese, or Spanish.

At KLM & Air France, all tickets can still be rebooked without a change fee, but you will unfortunately now have to pay the price difference. You can also exchange the flights for a non-refundable voucher, valid for 1 year. Unfortunately, the option to have the value of the voucher paid out to your bank account no longer exists since March 1st. You can read the rules here.

There’s quite good availability until May 2022.

You can fly from the following Italian cities:

First, you would either fly to Paris or Amsterdam, before continuing your trip to South America on a long-haul flight to Brazil. Both airlines use a Boeing 777 for their flights to São Paulo, offering on-demand entertainment for each passenger, a USB port and a power socket – so pretty much your average economy class.

Search & Book

This deal officially expires on June 30, 2022, though we’re not sure that it will really last that long. Your trip needs to be at least 6 days (or a Sunday) long and can take place between January 6 and June 27, 2023.

You can find all available dates on Google Flights. You can also use our search form above, which will redirect you to KLM’s booking site.

Information & Tips for Sao Paulo

Sao Paulo is an important economic and cultural center in Brazil and at the same time the most populous city in the country with 11 million inhabitants and a metropolitan region of 20 million.

The city is comparatively easy to reach from Europe, and the major hub airports are served by numerous European and Brazilian airlines. Bargains are not as common as to Rio de Janeiro, but there are still good offers.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Sao Paulo is between March and May and between October and November. At this time of year, the weather is warm, and precipitation is comparatively low.

From the airport to the city

Information & Tips for Brazil

Brazil is probably the country in South America that is most frequented by tourists. Whether it’s the carnival or the Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro or touring the Amazon, visitors will get their money’s worth here.

Traditionally, flights to South America and Brazil from Europe are quite expensive, but since a few years, there are increasingly cheap offers, especially with Iberia and TAP.

Best Time to Visit

Brazil is a vast country – so there is no such thing as an overall best travel time. It all depends on what you want to see. It is best to visit the cities of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo autumn and spring while the dry season fort the rainforest is from May to September.

Entry & Visa

EU citizens do not require a visa for stays of up to 90 days and can enter with a passport only. Note that, similar to the USA, that after your first stop in Brazil your luggage must be collected and brought through customs. Calculate accordingly when booking a connecting flight.

For tickets starting in Italy you can skip the first segment without penalty as per an Italian court decision. Just make sure to have it issued in Italy and inform the airline that you will be missing the first segment. (Emirates has a separate website for this). Of course at your own risk
