Santiago de Chile: €331 Nonstop LATAM Flights From Spain (€431 With Luggage)

Santiago de Chile, Chile

The South American airline LATAM is currently selling flights to Santiago de Chile at a very low price of €331. The downside is that this price is only available until March. If, however, you are a Chilean national, this is a great chance for you to fly back home at an extremely low price.

Info

Worldwide travel restrictions are in place to slow the spread of Covid-19. We strongly recommend gathering detailed information about the travel and quarantine restrictions that apply to your desired origin and destination.

A good start is the International Air Transport Association (IATA) website. It provides current updates on a country’s immigration policies. Even better, the Covid-19 Travel Regulations Map is one of the most useful tools you can find.

LATAM uses a Boeing 787-Dreamliner for its 13-hour flights between Madrid and Santiago de Chile. If you’re departing from Bilbao, you would fly to Madrid with Iberia. The tickets include 10 kg of hand luggage. Adding checked luggage in both directions increases the price by €100.

By the way, this isn’t our only deal for Spain:

This deal expires on January 13, 2021. According to the fare rules, you can fly until June 30, but in reality, the absolute cheapest price is only available until March. The minimum stay requirement is of merely 1 day.

Nonstop flights like these usually cost around €100 more

You can find all available dates using Google Flights or simply use our calendar above, which will redirect you to LATAM’s booking site. These tickets can be rescheduled without paying a fee, but you would have to pay the fare difference (unless it was LATAM who canceled the flight).

Information & Tips for Santiago de Chile

Santiago de Chile is the capital and most important economic center of Chile. With its 5.6 million inhabitants, the city is also a key cultural center which attracts numerous tourists thanks to its location near both the coast and the Andes Mountains.

From the Airport to the City Center

Two different airport busses, CentroPuerto and TurBus, run from the airport to the city. The fare is about 3€ per person and the journey takes about 30 to 50 minutes depending on traffic conditions. Credit cards are accepted when buying a ticket at the airport counter.

Unfortunately, none of the two buses take you directly into the city centre. The buses from CentroPuerto go to the “Los Héroes” station, from there you can walk to the central Plaza de Armas in about 20 minutes and a transfer to the metro is also possible quite easily. A taxi is a bit faster and costs approximately 20€.

Best Time to Travel

The best weather conditions for sightseeing and other touristic activities are in spring between September and November and in autumn between March and May. Temperatures during these months are moderate and rainfall is low.
