Over 25 US Destinations: €354 Oneworld Flights from Sweden & Oslo to Both East and West Coast (€488 with Luggage)

LasVegas 5

Oneworld partners British Airways, American Airlines, and Finnair are currently offering cheap flights to various US destinations from Gothenburg, Stockholm and Oslo starting at only SEK 3,952 (~€360). While that price isn’t super exciting for the East Coast, it’s a good price for the Western side of the country and for smaller cities. Unfortunately, these bags only include a carry-on bag. Adding a checked bag would raise the fare to at least SEK 5,450 (~€496). Departures are available from late August 2025 to May 2026.

There is a huge number of possible destinations all over the USA (except for most of the Mid-West and Texas, for some reason). We’ve compiled a pretty extensive list of examples:

You can use our search form to book these flights. You can either be redirected to British Airways or to American Airlines. The latter is the better choice if you’re flying to one of the smaller destinations, as British Airways often doesn’t offer those tickets on its website.

Info

If you have a Oneworld Sapphire status, you should opt for flights operated by American Airlines or Finnair, as they offer free luggage for status holders. British Airways does not!

Many destinations can be reached with only one layover in London or Helsinki. To others, however, you’ll have a second layover in a major airport in the USA (e.g. Chicago or Dallas). A great opportunity to stretch your legs – or even to add a mini-stopover.

If you are not set on travelling with Oneworld airlines, you should check out SAS’ current sales in both economy and premium economy class:

Visa Info

Most Europeans need an electronic system for travel authorization (ESTA) to enter the USA for up to 90 days. This costs US$21 (~€19) and you should apply for it a couple of days before your trip, at the latest.

There are some cases where you cannot apply for an ESTA, e.g. if you’ve been to Cuba since 2021 or to Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, or North Korea since March 2011. In those cases, you’ll need to get a visa from a US embassy or consulate, which can take multiple weeks.

Search & Book

This deal doesn’t have an expiration date, but your trip has to be at least six days long or must include a Sunday. While these flights are non-refundable, they can be rebooked for a fee of €150 + the price difference. Departures are available from late August 2025 to May 2026.

You can use Google Flights to find availability. Once you have selected your dates, you can either book on BA’s website or through American Airlines.

Information & Tips for USA

The United States offers a wide range of tourist sights, from national parks like Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon to cities such as New York, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. The currency is the U.S. dollar (USD), and card payments are widely accepted. Prices vary by region but can be high in major cities, especially for accommodation and dining. Weather differs greatly across the country—winters can be harsh in the north, while the south often stays mild; summers are generally hot and humid in many areas.

The U.S. transport infrastructure is highly car-dependent, especially outside major cities. Urban centres like New York, Chicago, and San Francisco have functional public transit, but many other cities have limited options. Between cities, domestic flights are common for long distances, while intercity buses and Amtrak trains cover some routes, though often with slower speeds and less frequency compared to other countries. Without a car, getting around can be inconvenient in many parts of the country.

We’ve compared various esim providers, such as Knowroaming and Ubigi. To see which plan is best for your travel needs and which network offers the best coverage, feel free to read our detailed guide:
