The Global Hotel Alliance (short: GHA) is an alliance formed by independent hotel brands that started a loyalty program named Discovery. GHA consists of brands like, Kempinski, Omni, Pan Pacific, Thon, and now even NH Hotels. Currently, you can take advantage of an easy option to get the Platinum status at GHA for only £17 (~€20). That way, you will benefit from perks such as upgrades to the next room category, a welcome gift, or late check-out during your next stay.
Buy your Platinum status
You can easily buy the Discovery Platinum status – by subscribing to the digital edition of the Business Traveller magazine.
You just have to subscribe to Business Traveller UK for £17 (~€20) and then have to select the GHA Discovery Platinum membership from the accommodation offers.
For existing Business Traveler subscribers there is an offer where you can renew an existing subscription for a further three years at the price of £65 for the digital edition, receiving the highest GHA Discovery Titanium status.
However, the status must be requested by email and the offer is officially only aimed at existing members. We cannot guarantee that it will actually work if you have not received an invitation.
The status is then valid for one year. To renew your status, you must have stayed 10 nights, spent $5,000, or stayed at two different hotel brands.
The Platinum status will get you these perks at all participating hotels and resorts:
- Welcome gift upon check-in
- 6% instead of the normal 4% or 5% Gold Cashback in the form of Discovery Dollars (D$), which you can use for your next stay.
- Upgrade to the next room category at check-in
- Late check-out privileges until 3 pm
