St. Regis Almasa Cairo Starting at $213 / €193 per Night with Breakfast, Upgrade & Hotel Credit

St Regis Almasa Cairo (New Administrative Capital)

St. Regis is among Marriott‘s most luxurious chains, with the St. Regis Almasa in (outside of) Cairo being no exception – despite being one of the cheapest. You can currently stay there starting at US$213 (~€199) per night with no minimum stay. The ASMALLWORLD VIP rate also offers a free breakfast, a US$100 (~€93) hotel credit and a welcome amenity. An upgrade, early check-in and late check-out are offered based on availability. Unfortunately, the first night’s price would be lost in case of a cancellation one day before arrival.

Our calendar displays dates with the nightly rate under €200 (~US$215) and will forward you to ASMALLWORLD’s website with your selected dates. You’ll need a free account to see the discounted rates. While there is no minimum stay, the price decreases slightly when you book multiple nights.

The cheapest rooms are the Superior King Rooms and the Superior Twin Rooms. Both measure 50 square meters or 538 square feet. All rooms, suites, apartments and villas have a balcony with either a pool or a city view.

The Hotel

The St. Regis Almasa is one of the two St. Regis hotels in the Cairo area or one of the ~50 St. Regis properties worldwide. It’s located in the New Administrative Capital, quite far from the old city. However, the resort offers complimentary airport shuttles. Considering the old town’s traffic, the location may not be as much of a downside as it first appears.

The pyramids are about 80-90 minutes away with a cab (Uber estimates EGP 330 (~€6) for the ride at 18:00 on a Wednesday). The so-called LRT regional rail system also has a stop near the property, although – due to the rapid transit’s limited coverage – the cabs (or Uber) are probably a better choice. The Cairo Monorail will have a stop at the property once it opens.

The resort is absolutely massive, featuring several pools, including one inside and an artificial beach or wave pool (temporarily closed as of publication). There’s also a spa, called The Club House and the UTOPIA fitness centre which is open all day.

All review categories average above 4 (out of five), with the exception of location. That “enjoys” a 3.6 average, with most guests not happy about the “Cairo” label of the hotel.

Price Check

When compared to Marriott’s website, ASW prompts guests to choose between Marriott’s flexibility and its perks such as onboard credit, early check-in, late check-out, upgrade and welcome amenities. Marriott’s best rate is US$196 (~€183) for members without breakfast. Their current Stay for Breakfast promotion at US$208 (~€194) (for members) is something to consider for those who would prefer flexibility. However, that promotion expires on January 10, 2024.

When it comes to other hotels, the St. Regis Almasa is the only open 5-star resort in the New Administrative Capital. In the city centre, you can find 5-star hotels like the Ramses Hilton for around €150. However, when it comes to resorts, only the Hilton Pyramids Golf is comparable, coming in rather cheap at €120. Although the breakfast rate of €165 and the no availability of ASW benefits make St. Regis Almasa a comparable deal.
